EDIT: It should be noted that Mitsu currently does not have a factory sponsored team competing in WRC. I'm guessing they'll return to competition when the Evo X hits the market. There are a few teams running 2005-spec Evos though.
Seee..even the Evo has a wagon variant. I still say the new Rexs look sick.

      *checks watch*

      Still ugly

This would have been a mediocre design in the mid '90s... when you look at the current Legacy and the SVX, this is just unacceptable. The last gen wasn't a looker at all... I find it unbearable to look at actually... but I've grown to deal with it. This is a whole new kind of bland ugliness. When I first saw spyshots I thought it was a Mazda3 chop... it saddens me that they really went through with it

It looks like a Ford/Subaru Hybrid. ( FUBAR-U ? ) It kinda looks like a Focus thats been streched. Not liking it.

People will still buy it just for the power though watch.

The new WRX will weigh 50 fewer pounds than the outgoing model, in spite of the increase in size. Aside from what ought to be a more refined ride, less trunk intrusion allows for a wider and deeper trunk. Engines carry over with emission and fuel economy improvements. The WRX’s turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-four packs the same 224 hp and 226 lb-ft of torque, but peak horsepower now comes at 5200 rpm instead of 5600, and peak torque arrives at 2800 rpm, down from 3600. The base Impreza’s 2.5-liter boxer four drops 3 hp to 170, but torque jumps to 170 lb-ft from 166. WRXs will use the STi's quicker steering gear of 15.0:1 vs 16.5:1.
I know some will say it looks Toyota-ish or like a Suzuki Reno, but what do you all say on it?
It will odd to to see the 5-door STi on Rally courses, but it will always be welcomed.

            they killed it

Being a fellow suby owner, I have to say that Subaru has to make a few styling changes, but I guess the more I see of it, I guess I will end up changing my mind later.

I've seen a few photoshops on NASIOC of current parts molded to fit the new look and it changes at least my perspective that the car isn't so bad.. with a few styling pieces.
