    my god, this is BEAUTIFUL!

    ...at least to an engineering nerd like me. 5-axis CNC machining of a v8 block!

    Whoa, that's insane. 5-axes is not a run of the mill cnc machine capability. That block must be one tough cookie.

            we need a 5axis machine for our school....i wonder how much this costs...

                      Ahhhh the 5 axis CNC machine, I used to work with one of those things at my last job. Quite a handy machine if you know how to use it. But as with most high end machines, most operators dont know how to fully use it. It could do so much but yet people use them for x,y and z axis only.

                              the 5-axis machines have linear movement on three axis (x,y,z) and then rotation about two of those axis...a mill would then rotate about the axis absent of any rotation
