AutoTrader is bringing in over $100 mill in JUST ad banner revenue. I'm looking for 1%-5% of that....Easy.

It's a numbers game.....SEO is key to create organic traffic....get the traffic, you can sell adspace for some real cash.

Infact I think I'm undermining the realistic outcome....my goal is way under what I'm expecting to bring in within the next 6-7 years.

I wanted to be a doctor as a yute...but I was always good with math and science, and I've always had an interest in technology and mechanical things. Looking back, I think I began heading down the path of engineering when I found an old weedwhacker in my dad's garage and began trying to figure out how to rig it to my bike... thankfully it turned the wrong way or I would have killed myself.

Anyways I went to school for mechanical engineering and am glad I did... it's a very useful, lucrative, and secure field, and it's applicable to my #1 interest... cars...

You could have fixed that directional issue with 1 gear!

Well even then I realized I could just flip the wheel around... but if you know bikes you know the gear only transmits torque one way, so I'd need a flipped cogwheel, which was beyond the scope of my then 11 year old mind...

But again... had it worked... I wouldn't be here to talk about it... so let's be thankful for that, lol

No offense, but, a federal agent is probably the last thing you need to be.

You never know. That is how Soichiro got his start...

                    LOL!

I almost became an engineer of some kind. I actually designed a plane with a friend at the age of about 11, and I am still amazed by how close I actually got.

I had the controls and rigging and everything designed. I had no materials knowledge though.

Negative on that sir... You have to be completely free of medication for 6 months prior to being considered by the Air Force or Navy... And to be put back on the medication and still be in the Air Force or Navy one of their doctors has to complete an evaluation to see if after the 6 months of being without medication that you need the medication and check your mental state after being unmedicated for 6 months. I lasted about a month without my medication before I started getting in trouble. So I had to get back on it...

FYI... The FBI WILL NOT accept anyone with a felony conviction of a VIOLENT nature or felony DRIVING offense... I checked into that already also... Later

A lot of people lose touch with that when they see the challenge involved.

It is true that you can be anything you want to be, but nowhere in there does it say that it will be easy or simple.

Most people see the challenge and or cost of their desired path and are deterred to something easier, figuring they will get to it later.

More times than not, you wake up 25 years later, and that door has closed because you waited too long. So then you are stuck.

Not only were you unhappy for those 25 years, but now you get to be unhappy for the rest too, because you never really achieved that one thing you wanted.

If your goals change, that is one thing, but when your goals change because you aren't willing to do whatever it takes, or can't achieve them, that is a frustrating experience.

Perserverence is a word that most people don't understand. Especially in this day and age of instant gratification.

That word means you do whatever you have to in order to achieve the objective. If you have to work 5AM-1AM everyday, to get out, or to get to your goal, you do it. If it takes 10 years when it should have taken 4, you do it. If it takes 300K when it should have taken 150K, you do it.

If you ask your hero (whoever that may be) and ask them about how they got to where they are, you will hear a similar story.

Michael Jordan is one of my favorites because I am not sure there will EVER be another basketball player quite like him. He failed, and then worked harder and harder and harder until he got what he wanted.

I guarantee that he would agree with the statement, "there is no such thing as I can't, only I won't."

He understands that you have to want it more than they want to give it to you.

I am living proof of this also. I landed somewhere in the middle.

I wanted to fly an F-16 in the Air Force. I KNOW I have the ability, but I did not have the desire. My grades weren't good enough. I didn't try hard enough. So they said no. 15 times. By the time you count all branches, services, Academies and ROTC programs, I was turned down by every branch at least 3 times.

So now, I probably have to settle for not being able to do what I really wanted, which was fly for the military. Luckily I still landed on a perch I can handle, but ultimately, I will always regret not achieving that goal.

Now I could have been told by the military, no and then just settled for some 9-5 job that I hated.

                        I almost did.

Luckily, I have good enough parents that my dad pushed my ass into school because he knew I would regret it if I didn't.

Sometimes I wonder how much better the world would be if more parents were like mine.

We lose touch with the goals because of our own obstacles. Not because of the world's in most cases.

                        There are some exceptions though.
