    Preferred number pad style

which do you feel is the "proper" number pad layout? computer/calculator style with 1,2,3 at the bottom, or phone style with the 1,2,3 starting at the top?

just a curiousity of mine. personally i think computer style is easiest, if i try to type numbers on a phone pad (anything other than a cellphone, that is) quick, it throws me off.

the leading theory as to why the telephone numbers are opposite that of the calculator (since the claculator came first), is that telephones often label keypads with a series of alphabet letters (e.g..abc is on the '2' key), and putting 123 accross the top was the most logical way of making the alaphabet corrospond numerically , while still being in left to right, top to bottom reading form, as is natural for the english language.

Yeah, I'm def more accustomed to the computer style, and I've dialed a lot of wrong numbers because of it.
