there is actually a VERY easy way around this...well its not 100% safe...but like 98% safer then normal.

go to your bank, ask them to flag your card so that whenever it is swiped, it'll show up on the persons screen whos swiping the card, and it will say "verification" or something along those lines, and once they see that, you MUST provide photo ID or else they will not let you use the card.

theres also some credit card companies that put your actual ID ON the credit card, so once they hand you a card...nobody else can use it unless you have an identical twin...

98% thats soo wrong. all of my cards have SEE ID written on the back and maybe 1 out of 3 people will ask to see it

really???? you just have careless and non observant people who work at stores then. out of all the times ive handed my credit card with the check id on it, only once did i not get checked. me and my brother have wallets almost identical to each others, black leather..about the same thickness...we both leave our wallets on the kitchen table along with each of our car keys and such. every now and then i screw up and take his wallet, when im in a store and i open it and realize what ive done...ill still use his credit card...works every time...when he does that to mine....he has to come alll the way back home to get his wallet cause they denied him from using my card.

Just wanted to say I got a phone call from my credit card company this morning and they asked me if I made a purchase of $1083.00 at some store in Italy. I was like "Hell No", and the lady said that's what she thought. So I had to destroy my credit card and will be getting my money back. It's fucked up because I never use this credit card, I mean the only transactions I use it for are to pay for my cell phone and that comes straight out of the account, I can't remember the last time I swipped it anywhere. Fucking frauds and it was in fucking ITALY....wtf.

crap, looks like i'll need to use someone elses card # to cheat the system, anyone else wana hook me up
