yea I think most go through different stages. I wouldn't say my car was ever rice, but its definetly been through stages. on the front page here you can see the huge greddy lip and 18" wheels. I mean I still think it looked clean then. but now I've moved to a more practical, not as much attention grabbing look.

      cleanliness is next to godliness.
      Expect chaos.

I know that was said on page 1, but I had to comment! I want a type r keychain! And a type r key... I figure, I have the type r engine, so why not? I guess I'm a closet ricer

I think I'm kinda like the anti-rice... My car looks like crap, but has a number of expensive upgrades. The ass-backward-ness of it kinda makes it just as bad!

I really appreciate all of you guy's feedback. I guess in a way it was a phase coz I had just got my 40K a year job, first actual car bought and paid for with plenty of money to do whatever I wanted to do with it, except pricey mods and of course a swap. Anyways, I got it painted, winged, bannered, stickered, and Altezza'ed.I thought it was pretty neat looking then, that is until I read a couple of anti-rice threads as well as a couple of Halls of Shame. I thought to myself, "damn, my car is an easy candidate for this Hall!". Anyways, even though it's my ride and I should do what I want to do with it I still can't help to think that the car just isn't me anymore. But yeah, I thank Uncle_El, Lithium, USC,and the other stock Accord drivers for having such gorgeous rides as to want to emulate them with that clean look...

Oh, and xplode, you didn't come off as downing my ride. You just put into perspective a lot of things that I was afraid to notice myself. It was you I should thank for slapping some sense to me!...

some people spend 200+ to make their car look like a airplane.. its funny imo i definately was in that stage, but i never made anything of it because thanks to my dad he didnt let me mod shit hahaha... some peeps pull it off. performance and clean ride last a life time... 2 grand for a body kit for 2 months is not worth it imo at all.

Never been into the riced out look. I just like to see a car for what it is..so you can be like....ooooo, look at that tricked out Accord and have it be an Accord...not like part Civic, Mercedes, BMW, etc. Not sayin you can't pull off the look, cuz don't get me wrong....if car looks good, it looks good!

It's just if you want people to know what kind of car you have, then try to retain it's stock look for the most part...tweak some things here and there to ur own taste is a given....but overall you can still tell what it is.

Man, if I get these ideas into my 90 EX... i really want some feedback on what you all think...cuz this vision in my head is lookin hella tight

Actually I was thinking about doing a "reality" type thing for the CB7Tuner folks, kinda like a project car for the entire forum where peeps vote for different things like what type of corner lights to the actual paint job when I decide to get this muther painted. What do you guys think? I'd even supply photos of the step by step project!...

nah... that wouldn't be practical. Everyone's accord in the Member's gallery is a work in progress much like your car. I say, just post what you have (no shame in it) and update the thread with your new modifications like everyone else. Besides, it looks like you've made your mind on how you want your car to look; votes from other people would be useless. I still say do what you want; it's your car. Having everyone tell you what to do with your car kinda defeats the purpose of being original by your own merits.
