Ha, I had a poster of a white Testarossa in my room for years. Honestly though, for some reason, as much as I hate Lamborghinis, my ultimate 80's exotic car was the 1987 Lamborghini Countach.

LOL! I pretty much like all exotics, but I understand totally what you are talking about.

The Countach was like a pissed off Dustbuster with all those scoops and louvers...

Ready to devour anything in its path.

The reason for me liking Ferraris is pretty simple. In addition to their unquestionable racing heritage, they are one of the few cars that can make the hair on the back of your neck prickle when they rev.

And THAT boys and girls is what makes an exotic car an exotic car.

Lamborghini, Ferrari, some Porsches, and yes the NSX (you wouldn't think so, until you hear them in person).

I think that is why I never gravitated as much toward the Supra, 3000GT, or Skyline. They certainly had the speed and power, but they just didn't have the blood curdling, spine tingling, chill causing mechanical wail that makes these brands so famous.

Besides. You want to make even the most elitest and snobby of women wet? Rev an exotic.

Here is a good one. 2 Ferraris and an S2k on a race track. Notice how from the previous F430/F355 videos how similar the V8 actually sounds to the S2K. This is because the Ferraris use a "flat plane" crank which is basically in I4 crank with 2 pistons per journal.

Countach was also my ultimate 80's exotic car...I think it looks much better than the Diablo, and even more so compared to the Murcielago..

Of course, that only lasted until the Ferrari F40 came out ~~~...droooollzzzz...~~~ That car is pure driving skills..No electronic assist between the car and the driver...Yum!
