i dont know what understeer and oversteer is, but accidentally losing control in my mustang never felt frightening to me or gave me any reason to be scared because i could always control it wherever i slid out of control i dunno what i do in those couple seconds of sliding, but i always react with gas and brake and stuff and it comes out good. just a natural reaction, but when i slide out of control in my cb7 all i can think about is "no front end damage" because i cant control it.

I knew it was gonna be S2000 and ITR 1 and 2. Speed vs handling. Speed came out on top, maybe because the track was wet

ricer - if you hit oil I wouldn't necessarily call that a case of over steer, but the oil caused you to lose traction and the back end swung out.

The mustang would be more likely to oversteer, being rwd, I would think. But the weight distribution also matters. I've never drove a mustang.

The accord, being fwd and front heavy, would be more likely to understeer, given a stock setup.

My 90 lx has been modified to the place where it oversteers in corners. Of course I have it set this way purposely, it would be ideal to make it more neutral. But I don't race, its all for fun or my personal preference.

            Oversteer

            Understeer

I personally find that FWD cars are a lot easier to handle on the streets, especially on a weather like this (Cold, rainy weather)...I wouldn't say that they handle "better" than RWD cars per se, but their driving characteristics are definitely more predictable..And in case unpredictable things happen, they're easier to manage and control as well..Understeer would be a main issue of course, but I think everything comes down to how you drive, and how the car is set up..

My car personally, it rarely understeers during hard cornering on wet conditions like the one in the vid...If anything, the rear end would lose it first (Which is a lot better scenario compared to understeer in the case of FWD cars)..And I'm only running 205/60 all-season Michelin tires, no LSD (yet), so-so suspension setup, and no rear sway bar (haven't installed my Progress RSB yet ) One thing to remember: During understeer, go easy on the brake pedal

Anyways...That is a nice vid, thanks for posting it up! I've never watched that one before..Very fun to watch...It always scares me to watch ppl race on wet weather like that...And they're driving bumper to bumper!! Crazy Japanese racers

Sucks that the Lude lost it around that corner tho..Stupid ATTS! I wanted to see how it'd keep up with the featherweight brothers...And I also find it funny how the rear end on those FWD cars get so happy around corners...WOW!

I had a lot of these vids, but my comp crashed couple of weeks ago, and I lost ALL of 'em

If I manage to recover some of 'em, I'll definitely post 'em up

                  Ronald
u took a few words out of my mouth. the reason why the rears got so happy is cuz theres no weight back there, and those tires are not warm enough to grip. what a sweet video i must say. if the prelude and accord was a lil lighter it wouldve been a good race
