I never heard of them before... any relation to doctorcipher?

Check the BBB and see if there are any negative reports on them. Look them up on ebay and see if you can find a seller by the same name... most small shops do a lot of ebay business (hell the highly qualified tuning shop near me doesn't even have a website, but they have an ebay account! All About Performance).

Talk your mom into letting you use her credit card... that way, if they screw you, your mom can contest the charges and say she would never order anything like that

i bought a VSS for my 90 accord from a Doctorautoparts on Ebay.

it was mildly priced and came with a life time warranty. well supposedly it does. now watch it be one of those fly by night companies when i try to return the no good VSS.

Paypal is only safe when the seller keeps money in their account. I got taken for $85 once... paid through paypal, filed a complaint, it was found in my favor... but the guy had $0 in his account... so I was awarded a whopping $0. Supposedly, I'll get whatever money goes into that account if it ever does... but I'm not holding my breath. (I even considered trying to scam someone else using that account, so when the money hit it, I would get my cash back! I'm not shady like that though... I could never do to someone else what was just done to me!)
