    my gokart project

some help from some friends, but i've done most of the design work and welding

It's governed by rules to compete against 3 similiar karts in a road race.
starts out with a 5.5hp 4stroke brigs and stratton power plant.
carbeurated for now, but the megasquirt is in the works, at which point it will be fuel injected, and tuneable via laptop.(lol yes on a 1 cylinder engine)

it has short-long-arm double a-arm front suspension. Adjustable toe, camber and caster.

Rear end is solid axle w/differential chain drive, and twin coil-over swingarm suspension

everything mechanical is operational, just need to finish the fuel injection... here's the progress so far on the megasquirt

here it is midway through production

in this state, it still lacks a gas tank and a few other touches, as well as the seat which we're waiting on

i'm gonna personally go over all the welds with a tig next week

That looks sweet, I couldn't see all that on the video.

You should make the HL2 buggy, hehe

i'll get some more pictures soon, it looks alot better with a floor and some wheels.

and as a finishing touch, we're gonna cut off that top halo and replace it since it's crooked

thats just what i was thining, i just got back from driving practice for my SAE team. it looks kindof like a cross between SAE and mini-baha. the center of gravity lookks very high on your cart, but the front suspension just looks beefy.

front suspension is a little heavy, but the kart sits about 1 1/2 inches off the ground in the front, and 2 inches in theback, it's as low as we could go and still have suspension travel. It corners amazingly.

so i was thinking, i got an extra f22, f22 tranny, extra pedals, extra front spindles, extra ecu, extra wiring harness, even an extra car. i got pretty much everything i'd need to mount up an f22 to the rear end, with a total rear-end overhaul of course. 140hp in something that weighs maybe 250 lbs would be pretty sick

and no paul's h22 isn't in my car yet, i just got done pulling it out of his old car
