Well it finally happened!

So I pick my roommate up from work the other day(he had a flat tire) and I was driving back, then we decided to take a "Smoke" Cruise, and when we got back 20 min later the car started billowing smoke. I didn't ever hear anything or notice anything while I was driving. Anyway, I took it into the local Honda shop, and the Tech called me back like 30 min later. He then went on to inform me that my part of my tranny exploded! It shot a chunk of metal through the pan the size of a quarter. All of the damage is going to cost almost $4000 to fix so I'm going to get a different vehicle. I will say one thing about my CB7 it was a hell of a lot of fun when it ran! So I'm thinking about getting a S-10 next.

ya but he might have damged other things than just the tranny.but if its just the tranny i think he should keep it and go to another shop because thats to much for a stupid tranny.

sorry bros..... Im in college and I need a really reliable vehicle, and it just wouldnt be worth putting like 3 grand into a car that is worth less than that. plus if you think about it, my CB7 is almost 15 years old. I just dont have the time or funds to lose that much money doing a swap.

dude, just buy a used tranny for it, throw it in and be done with it. No sense in parting out a perfectly good car.

i need a stock power 90-93 antenna in good shape.let me know.if the cars fine just drop in a used tranny,the fuckers go forever.i have a stock tranny and i have 240k.......ypu 240 on stock tranny/clutch.

hmmm... 4k sounds utterly ridiculous, though i suppose it's a "normal" price from the dealer. you could get an h22 swap with everything you need, and installed for less.

or you could just replace the existing f22 with another f22 for even significantly less than 4k, and much less than the h22.

ya but u guys seem to not kno dat if da trany exploded and made a hole in somin it prob hit alot more things fucking them up to so it might be more then a tranny plus u have to add in n body work they might be charging him plus labor

if it was a 2 dr my friend needs the black pice that gose around the door handle and power lock switch

It is a Sedan, tan interior, jay187 is right, because the cv joints are going out as well, plus the A/C stopped working.
