64 vw bug

a friend needs help to replace the clutch on her 74 bug but ive only worked on hondas so i have no idea where to begin...is it hard to replace the clutch? do you guys have any helpful info or websites i could look at for a step by step diy? any help would be greatly appreciated

its a 74 not a 64...my sis got the years mesed up...thanks

its not that hard ramiro, with about 4 bolts the engine comes down, you don't have much electrical, just some wires, the lower it down, the clutch is there, it just takes time, i would say about 4 hours to take it apart and have it running

You can. You can do it for the VW bus. A lot of people do it if they have the money. But the air cooled motors are pretty small and light.

ive been looking at that samba site but i havent found a diy on clutch replacement...

haynes and chilton manuels work wonders, its going to be hard to find one for that car but look around, im sure you can order on somewhere. good luck.
