Anyone got a spare Dell Dimension 8200 Laying around?
Theres an older one in a closet in my house Im sure I could just kinda take. Im gonna be in Framingham on Saturday too.
Theres a crazy old computer in that closet too (probably from like 1999, its a Packard Bell), I can check that to see what kind of ram its got in it, but I doubt its anything more than 32MB.
what kind of ram is it?
i have chips all over the place. some 256's and 2 512's
It's RDRAM, I'll have to look it up to see if it's ECC or not. It's the RAM you have to put in as pairs.

Thanks for the offer Mark. I've got a 19" CRT at the moment, it's just from time to time the screen will move and get slightly weird. I wonder if it's because my speakers are too close to the motor, I'll have to adjust them. I'm just annoyed because I didn't really want to go with a flat panel at this point.
I deleted a bunch of stuff last night and did a bunch more scans and what not (CCleaner, Ad-aware, Symantec Corporate) and it's all coming up neg. for anything.
I'm wondering how much of an effect WindowBlinds has on it as far as speed goes.
Oh well. I'll boost up my laptop RAM and just bring the external with me when I want my music.
