    ya good stuff, u prolly wont need to rebuild but betta find out whats causing 3 to fowl up....

    that does look scary...

    i know i had leaking tube seals and i changed them with my vc gasket...all peachy now...now i dont leak a drop of oil or really burn any anymore however i am leaking ps fluid lol..

    ummm so keep us posted on the compression results!

      Yeah, I'm stumped too... The plug was definitely up WAY higher than it should've been. Not sure if that is the reason for the condition, or if whatever caused the condition is what pushed it up in the hole... Either way, it's NOT good. You can see bits of the head on the threads. The old Bosch Platinum 4 I had in my toolbox went in easily enough though (dunno why I kept those around, but I'm glad I did!)

        Maybe they just came loose because of the vibration?? Rare but you never know. Or the last time you put them in didnt tighten them enough. But all the plugs seem to be burning fine.

          You shoulda just done that when I first told you.

          But its a good thing you check your oil first tho! lol, running 2 quarts low woulda just made it worse.

          Can you take better pics of the plugs tho. I wana see the tips of all of them. From what I can see, all of the electrodes look FUCKED up.

          when was the last time you replaced your plugs?

          #3 actually looks like there might have been some detonation. Did you have all of them at the correct gap?
          It looks like you're running rich, but the timing is alright.

            It wasn't 2 quarts... only about one (maybe a little more). I know I have a small oil pan leak, and the #1 tube seal is leaking (I just learned today). I suppose that's where it went!

            The plugs are quite old... Probably at least 2 years, and I was running very rich until last March, when MRX tuned me.

            #3 does seem to show some signs of detonation. Some small black specs and slightly chalky. I'm going to replace them this weekend, so I'll get good pics when I yank them out. #3 is out, and I'm currently running a Bosch Platinum 4 in place of it. Not great, but it screws in fine.

                  Yeah, I know it... I've been slacking! I changed the cap, rotor, coil, and igniter, but I never got to the plugs. That'll change this weekend. It'll get fresh plugs, fresh oil, new tube seals and valve cover gasket, and hopefully a valve adjustment. I want to do a compression test to see if everything is alright as well...

                      detonation is definately possible if the spark isn't strong enough to ignite the fuel. If the fuel is combusting just from compression then that is also a form of detonation. A minor one. but still one none the less.

                          Any grey specs and such on the insulator? I think thats the proper term that white part basically. That can indicate some detonation. I just noticed the electrode was gone on 2,3,4 mainly.
