just hang onto them. you never know when you're going to tear one of the ones you're wearing now or drop it into the sink and down the drain when cleaning them. besides, someone might have a different prescription than what you would have.

i wear glasses btw. i really want to get that lasic but had to lend the money to my brother and now he can't pay me back.

uhm, youre supposed to replace them every so often depending on the brand. what brand do you wear? i used to wear Acuview 2's which i think were supposed to be replaced every 3 monthes, but now i wear O2 Optics which are more breatheable but as a result need to be replaced every month.

also, your prescription is based on more than just your visual acuity, contacts are prescribed according to different diameters of your eyeball, therefore in order for someone else to wear your lenses they would have to have to same eyeball dimensions as you as well as your visual acuity.

i think i know what you were asking, im just not sure though. If you mean how do people use our old glasses for charity, well, you can wear prescription and see pretty good with a prescription +-.25, without it bothering you too much, some people see okay with -.50 of their actual prescription. since glasses are only prescribed based on your acuity and not your eye dimensions like contacts, i assume the charity either gets the prescription from the lenses and marks the glasses or people try till they find a pair that they can see ok out of. its not as big a deal as wearing wrong prescription contacts.
