This is an approach into Santiago Chile just about at minimums. "Minimums" are the absolute minimum weather required to be able to legally land at an airport.

These ones aren't crazy ass crosswind landings, but they are cool video of approaches.

2 of them are approaches in bad weather, and one is just an approach at night into Chicago. I love night approaches. Actually, flying at night is my favorite because of all of the lights.

An instrument rating basically allows the airplane to be flown and landed with sole reference to the "instruments."

The instruments are basically gyroscopically driven flight instruments that keep you oriented, and then radio or GPS based navigation instruments that allow you navigate.
