before i go on, i'd like to say that i WASN'T drinking last night
so i was hopping between 2 different parties last night for new years. i was sort of playing DD, even though there wasn't too much heavy drinking anyways. i went to take an exit and i slowed to about 35-40 mph (what i normally do anyways). but to my luck, i hit a patch of black ice as i applied the brakes. tires locked, and i slid off the exit ramp into a small ditch of grass. luckily the curb wasn't too big (maybe an inch off the road) and i didn't bottom out or even smack the front lip or exhaust. i think the worst may have just been the wear i gave the shocks by going over the curb at that speed. all in all it was pretty scary, but everything checks out fine, at least i think. if i had slid 50 feet further down, i wuld have ended up in a pit of water (insurance anyone?)
do any of you think anything could have happened to the cb after going over a curb like that? everything feels fine, suspension wise, as i drove through the rest of the night.
i gotta be more careful
