Brand New: The Devil and God are Raging Inside of Me.

Has anyone heard this album yet? I have been downloading most of the songs from the album and so far I love all of them and I am definately going to buy this.

The new stuff is a lot different than their older stuff...but still very much like Brand New at the same time. They seem to have been slowly changing their style since their first album, and the last one was half and half with the newer style of music, now the new album is all like that. Personally I love it. I like the older emo-ish stuff and I also like the newer...whatever it'd be considered stuff.

Anyone else heard any of the new stuff by them? If so, what do you think of it?

    SO good!

Ive had it for about a week, well, Ive had it since the whole thing leaked. Deja is still my favorite BN album, but this one is really good too. YFW is awesome as well, but I just dont like it as much as Deja. I would say its tied with this one for second in my mind.

haha yea, I have all their songs downloaded from limewire. I still buy the cds though because I like to listen in my car and I like to support the bands in some way lol. I usually download all the songs to see if i wanna spend the money then if they're good i'll buy the cd.

But yea, I love all their old stuff. Deja Entendu is awesome, it's got a little bit of their older style and a little bit of their newer style.

Is it slow like Deja or is it faster like YFW?

I really didn't like Deja all that much, it was just a little too depressing for my tastes. I thought The Quiet Things... was probably the best song they've ever recorded (I woulda thought that even if it wasn't a radio hit), but the rest of the album was just a little slow and almost boring for my tastes.

I'm not knocking Brand New, I do like them, but I just like their more uptempo stuff found on YFW vs. Deja. I think it wasn't even that Deja was a slow album, but it was just really really bleak all things considered. I mean I'm sure you could argue their old stuff doesn't stand out as much as the new stuff, but I still like the old stuff better.

I just was curious if someone could give me some insight before I go out and download the CD to hear it since I'm on dial-up.

its slow like deja. its definitley NOT a step in the way of YFW from Deja. its more a step in the other direction.

It's pretty slow I guess but regardless, it's still awesome in my opinion. I guess it's more ....mature sounding? I don't really know lol. It's a lot less emo than the older stuff. YFW is still a kickass cd though, aswell as Deja. They've yet to dissapoint me.

Go on they're myspace page and listen, there's 2 of the new songs on there so you can get a taste of it before buying the cd. Snowing season is up there, it's one of the better songs on the cd in my opinion.
