Any red sox fans out there? I was watchin this documentary on HBO or somethin just a little while ago called 'The Curse of the Bambino,' talking about when the red sox sold babe ruth to the yankees for 125,000, the most any baseball player had made before. it went over like the 10-15 times that the red sox had either fucked themselves or been fucked out of a world series championship, and was CRAZY the kind of shit that happened. a couple of years ago, pedro martinez (arguably the best pitcher in baseball) was disputing the bambino curse, saying that if he were to face babe ruth, he would quote "strike his ass out." he later was hurt and didnt get another win for the rest of the season. you try to figure that one out.....

Been a Bosox fan since the days of Carl Yastremski (Yaz)...

Yeah... Noticed that Martinez also got hurt and needed surgery for his shoulder, also... While out, the Red Sox went on a decline without their ace pitcher (whom, IMO, has the best ball control in baseball... His slider and curveball are wicked)...

They also had a hard time beating the Yankees, too...

I missed that show on HBO... I'll keep an eye out for a repeat...

BTW- Did you know when Nomar Garciapara was born, his parents initially named him 'Ramon'... But the dad wanted something unique and spelled 'Ramon' backwards to 'Nomar'...

I know, I know... Another useless fact...
