im also not actually hispanic, i just took it in high school and middle school as well. when i was in ait i was with a bunch of guys from puerto rico, and while i couldnt converse with them completely, i could understand what they were talking about and who they were making fun of. i was like an honorary puerto rican for a while, except i didnt get to go home to an island at the end of ait, i came back to kentucky.
