im not a very religious man, however i will pray from time to time. not to anyone in particular, more so just for me and my own comfort. no harm in praying if you are or arent religious. its always good to try and better your life in every way possible, whether it be by taking physical action, or just thinking differently.

Can you tell him something for me then...It's not funny when he changes the light to red in the middle of the night when no one else is around when I'm approaching the intersection. I always give the old middle finger upward.

i silently pray alot. its never anything formal, but ive been doing it for so long that its second nature by now. I wouldnt call myself a strong catholic by any means, but, from 8 years of catholic school, my brain is kinda hardwired to do that. Im not trying to say it was beat into me, I definitley willingly accepted what I was being taught, and I beleive that religion is a good thing as long as it stays in moderation.

Praying can help anyone if they are willing. Even if not there is someone always watching over them. I think there is a need to pray for people loosing their lives for our country, people fighting disease, and for people loosing loved ones every day!

Hey man, I gotta thank God for the opertunity for an awsome job I just secured, comes with all the benefits I'll need. When I first got filled with the Lord, it felt so good and made such a big impact on my life that I felt the need to tell everyone. Looking back, it definitely seemed like I was trying to force things down everyones throat and I deserved any ridicule I got for it. It pushed a lot of people further away from God than bringing them closer to Him. That was a character flaw of mine that did not fit in with Gods plan for me so I have since given up being so "in your face" about it. It is not my place to try to guide you or "convice" you of anything. All I can say is the closer I get to God, the less complicated things are and the more satisfying & enjoyable life becomes. If you want some help with prayer, this is a thread for you. If you want to discuss religion in general, reserect the old "Politics & Religion" thread or start a new thread and post there.





mondojackal - I prayed about your walk. I wasn't sure exactly what to pray for about your walk but God knows and that's what matters. I also prayed that everytime you are about to give in to the sins of the flesh that God will provide you with a clear option to stop before sinning.

f22a4bandit - I prayed that your Dad is able to cope with the loss and that he finds comfort and serenity knowing that even though she may be gone from this physical world that her "life" is really just beginning. I prayed that your Grandmother is at peace with her transition into the afterlife and that God welcomes her back with open arms.

Maple50175 - I prayed that YOUR current conditions & surroundings would improve. I also prayed that God would make his presence more obvious in your life. I prayed that you become so spiritually sound that if you ever become a millionaire you would not become corrupted by it. I prayed that you would be able to start making decisions with the Lords will in mind and not your own will. I prayed that God would make His rewards to you obvious for the good that you do in your life.

Shuebakka - I prayed that you continue your search for spiritual guidance and that you are not misguided along the way. I prayed that you are strong enough to let go of any "delusions of the flesh and mind" that may slow you down or hold you back.

SoCqT08 - I prayed that God continue to watch over everyone especially those experiencing war. I prayed that He continue to bring us home when it's our time. I prayed that He continue to perform miracles for those in need. I prayed that He continue to save people and awaken their souls bringing them closer to Christ.

Clueless - I prayed that your new job works out so well that you will be able to get that new car and also a home. I prayed that when you do get those things that you are humble enough to thank God for them and wise enough to use them properly. I prayed that you do find the right partner and are able to have a good loving relationship through all the B.S. force fed to us through each day. I prayed that when you do find the right person that you persue that relationship with Gods word in your heart so that you may both be truely satisfied.

I'll leave this, because the intention of the thread is not to preach or condemn anyone. Pat, please keep it to that level.

I respect anyone who has strong religious feelings. I have my own private beliefs, but I'm not one to discuss them. I know other people aren't the same way, and I understad that.

As long as there isn't any preaching and conversion attempts in this thread, I'll leave it open. I also don't want to see any attacks on religion. If you don't agree, or don't feel the same way, just leave it be. There's no need to spew your opinions uninvited.

Patrick, I've prayed for the non-believers here at CB7Tuner. I prayed and ask God to reveil Himself to these people because they need him. I prayed that He will open their minds, hearts, and spirits and accept Him into their hearts.

I've also prayed and asked God to be with you and continue using you as a tool to shine His light on people who don't know Him, to use you to witness to people and further the Kingdom.

Patrick, if you will, pray for me. My biggest problems are the words I use (profanity), lust, and anger. I pray all the time for these things and I have faith in God that he will answer these prayers in His time, not mine. I can have this type of faith because I've seen God to wonders in different areas of my life and others' lives and I know He is good and just and loves all of us. Thanks, man.
