Got a speeding ticket

i had to go to charlotte yesterday and get a car for work. i was on my way back and i got off the interstate and there was a state trooper in front of me. so i didnt pass him. next thing i know he slams on brakes and so do i. but he stopped alot quicker than i did. so i pass him, i had no choice. he hits the blue lights. i pull over and he said that the speed limit on the exit ramp was 45 mph and i was going 65. he said that is how fast he was going and i was right behind him. then on top of that the person who rented the car last took out the damn registration.i got a $180 ticket and probably 4pts.

it might. im not sure b/c ive gotten out of a bunch of tickets before. all i did was be myself.

when it comes to cops and your in a modified car. you already know the cop is gonna think you were racing. just be cool. dont argue with the cop. you know your were speeding.

now if he gives you a ticket for going like 5 or 10 over most likey(depending on where you live) the judge will throw it out. but then again most cops let you go AT THE MOST 10 over. i know cops here in maryland and in some parts of NC let you do like 10 over. anything over that and they pull you.

Worth a shot... but it's probably easier to just pay the ticket. You'll most likely be able to get it down to 2 points and more money.

tru that. also if you go into court, theres a 50/50 chance that the cop wont show up. but if you really want to get out of it then do a couple of continuances. most likely the cop will 4get about the case or he'll be sick that day. if either is the case, the judge will throw it out.

it was fucked up but you were speeding...I speed all the time but when i get tickets i just suck it up and pay a lawyer and hope i dont get court fees.

i got lawyers taking care of another ticket i got in florida 88 in a 65. i might just do it for this one too or i might just pay it. i dont know yet. how much does it cost to get a lawyer for this? the law firm in florida sent me a letter in the mail and it was only $75 to hire them.

I don't know how it is were you are but here you can just go t traffic school and not loose any points. You just pay court cost and 15 dollars for traffic school as long as you were not doing more than 25 over I believe. But you only get to do that once a year.

we got something like that in sc. im not sure how it is but this girl i know got a ticket and took a driving course and it was no point taken of her liscense

WEll up here we got a lawyers who related to the DA and you can get them dismissed for a fair price without even breaking a sweat or showing up at the courthouse. you pay ,ticket gets gone, no points show up ,no hassle from insurance.

today i stopped and talked to a state trooper that had one of the new chargers which has a very very nice hemi in it, and asked showed him my ticket and asked him if it was a no point - just a fine ticket. he looked at it and showed me a 41 in a bottom box and said it was 4 pts. then he asked me who wrote it and i told him and then he told me he would work with me on it. i cant afford this ticket cause i start school in january and im paying for it. college=broke. college+higher insurance=dead!
