Yeah. Its bout that time again.

    For one of these threads.

Im about fucking ready to give up. I just had my driver side axle / intermediate shaft replaced. I just had my alternator replaced. I still have shit to fix. Every time I fix something (or get it fixed, you nitpickers) something else pops up. It never fails. Sure Ive got the VTAK and the new motor only has ~45k on it, but every fucking little thing else is slowly breaking/going haywire. Im fucking tired of it. If the title was under my name and I wasnt in school/had a job, the car would be in the classifieds and Id be looking at a new car. Something thats consistently reliable. Something I wont have to constantly worry about something breaking on.

    So...

Someone convince me to stick with it. Or tell me how to convince my parents to sell the car (since its still technically under their ownership) and help me out with a v6 Honda of some sort.

its an old car and things break on old cars. Its more than likely just a bad case of "shit, everything broke at the same time" but once you get everything fixed again, youll be happy. Ill let someone whose sold thier CB7 and missed it tell you about that, but I miss my CB, and its only in storage. I mean, I love my CD5, but its still different.

the man speaks the truth. for the most part, shit happens all at the same time. once you get through that, it's smooth sailing.

yea just stick with it even though it sucks and is such a pain in the ass there is a reason us enthusiasts are so passionate about this chassis!!!

Heck i forgot his name but he put his cb in storage for like 5 years and just now got back in her and he is in heaven...hes dying to do work to her and said that it feels right at home........

even the dude with the cb and the m3 said the m3 handles better and is faster then the cb but nothing feels quite like a cb lol......

eh i dunno but id hold on because these chassis's are special, they just like to fuck with us once in a while!

dude as much money as ive spent fixing the maintence on my car i could have bought two or three more cb's. And shit still breaks, I fix one thing and move on to the next. U just gotta stick with it and u will be happy with it. Keep ur head up and stay in the game.

Man fix it and fix it again, I don't know how many times my last cb broke down on me, left me stranded and pissed off, everytime it broke down I used to say fuck this shit I'm selling it but the next day it was at the shop being repaired. I remember when I sold it because I crashed it I regret doing that but now I bought another one and I'm planning to keep it untill it is no more.

Don't work on cars because you're used to it or people want you to. Do it because YOU want to.

all i can say is when it starts to rain it pours, i am a good example, my car gets broken into one week, my friends baby dies that same day, a week later a beer bottle gets chucked into my windshield, week after that my shocks blow out, 4 days after that two of my tired blow and then my spare blows lol. And i thought about giving up on modding cars, or even having a car because some way or another something is going to happen. But about a month later out of no where i get the money to finally get my motor swap done, one that i was working on for almost a year. I mean in the end its up to you, but once you hit rock bottom the only way back is up. i say stick with it for a while and if it keeps going the way its going then maybe you should try and sell it, but a honda is the most reliable car out there so i don't know

Unless you have CB7 passion in your veins, get rid of it, because when you drop $1K to fix all the shit wrong with it and you spin a bearing on a car worth $2K you'll be just as disheartened and pissed off as I am.

how bout mainatanece...glory..you have no place to tell anyone what to do..its not about passion..its about having a fucking decent brain to do maintanece..instead of crawling to sparkle when your shit breaks...mxcx...if i was you...id jus stick with it..for a lil while longer...fix it..youll love your car again..its what.. 13-15 yr old car...this should be expected...but if you wanna deal with payments and higher insurance get a new car...and if something fucks up on the new car..your screwed...stick with the cb until your anger is vamooose....when u have a clear brain weigh your options then decide..i almost sold my cb 7 times cuz of minor shit that broke..but i was avoiding to fix it..o rnever checked the car
