We were supposed to get heavy wind (well, 40mph) and rain at around 4... Now they're saying 8am tomorrow... That means I'm skipping school. There's no way I'm walking to and from the train in a hurricane! Even if it is mild compared to what you guys down South are getting...

well. the aftermath was not as bad as i thought it'd be. The Winds didn't seem to strong (at my area), but i heard at the beach (10 miles away) the winds were 70+ mph. Doesn't sounds strong, but put it this way - try standing on top of a car while the car is doing 70 mph.

      anywho. Here's the pictures: enjoy

yeah, we had high winds also...

there's trees down everywhere, and the whole town lost power for a day. i'm helping my dad clean up our yard today. there's a huge tree that fell down in the back yard... luckily it fell away from the house.

cokinut: did that tree do any damage to your cbsev? it looks like it maybe just got scratched from the branches.

car has about 7 big scratches in the paint (haven't counted exactly how many yet). And fortunately for me, i had power the entire time and didn't have a tree land in my house. As for other people, about 95% of Va. Beach residents, didn't have power. That's 1.6 million people for those who are not from here. I know a lot of people who have had to throw everything from their freezer. and what sucks most, without power, is that it was a nice 90 deg. with 80% ish humidity. sucks arse. Oh well. I hope they get everything fixed soon and pick up all the rubble from my house.
