    help me with my msn

    okay, heres the problem, when i click add a new contact, i put there email in and click okay...BUT when i click okay, the contact dosnt get the lil "do you want to allow this person to be on your contact list" box that pops up. instead it just adds there email into my list where they will remain offline forever...

    yesterday, this girl i know tried to add me to msn, and this time i never got the little pop up box...so i tried to add her...she never got the pop up box...so now here i am stuck with a dead email in my list, so i double click it, and at the top it says, "this person is not on your list, click here to add them now" so i click it, and now she can see me as online...but for me it still says shes offline...i know this cause she was msg'ing me while it said she was offline and wasnt even "added" to my list yet...

    so far ive uninstalled and reinstalled msn multiple times...that didnt work...so for now ive gone back to using the ooold school msn cause it seems to work..so this probably has something to do with the msn live thing...

    this ever happen to anyone else and if so, how did you fix it?

    Yeah, MSN did some funky ass shit to me too, for the short period that I used it.

    Switching to Trillian changed my life.

      does trillian have the option to do file transfers or direct connect? My msn has started to be very stupid lately.

        yes.

        trillian also can be used for Yahoo messenger, AIM, ICQ and IRC

            theres really not much the pro version has that the basic doesn't

            only benefit to pro, is you can use other plugins (most of which are useless anyways)

              cool.

              well, i downloaded it, and im using it. its cool, gota get used to the new skin tho. I dont really like the brightness of it. Not sure where i can get differnt skins for it.

              but it all seems cool so far. thanks dude.lol

                Goto Trillian Preferences > Skins to change the skin.
