    Lemans 24-hour race honda question

plz tell me why honda has never one of these lemans 24 hour races

i think the closest honda was to winning was 8th place in a n/a nsx

audi seems like the champ of these nowadays

and porchse has won it the most

so honda is supposed to have the best engineers... why dont they engineer a win

    correct me if im wrong

Porsche, BMW, and recently Audi have all won Le Mans championships. the NSX had 3 entries. one or two of the broke down as I recall as one had trans issues. If I remember they were boosted except for one. Acura is entering in the ALMS this year so thats gonna be something to see. And porsche has come back with there new ALMS proto which is running pretty damn good.

Mazda is the only Japanese car manufacturer to win the 24 hour LeMans Race.

all you need is a Rotary engine and a ton of fuel....you'll win anything

might be one of the biggest lies ever.

every country has brilliant engineers. Germany just happens to have quite a few notable ones. Honestly, Id day theres no possible way to distinguish.

It seems like everything the Germans do first, the Japanese do better........am I wrong?

And Honda has had a lot of racing success, just never in LeMans.

Formula One is where Honda shines :-)

Honestly, I cant think of many notable German inventions outside of the U-boat (submarine) and the early automobile. Theres a good chance im missing something important, but the Japanese have tended to do most of the automobile manufacturing different than the Germans (small displacement vs large displacement).

I dont think Honda has ever put out a strong, factory backed Le Mans team that has what it takes to win. something like the Audi R8 racecar is what Im talking about. A true racecar thats not just a modified production version. Unless you mean first in class, which is very different.

4 stroke engine, diesel engine, automobile, xray, aspirin, flourecent lamp, ADIDAS, electron microscope...................pregnancy test

                    those are pretty notable inventions.

I Googled "Japanese Inventions" and got "Useless Japanese Inventions" fo every result.

                    This is what I gathered...

fan-cooled jacket, AA battery powered plane, robot clone, cup noodle cap with timer...

I went through every page up until the 10th where each page displayed the same words "Useless Japanese Inventions"

In now way is this offensive, but anything the Germans cant figure out, the Japanese solve the problems.

                      You'd call that "shining"?

Anyways, racing at the F1 and LMP level's are blistering expensive. It's usually best to pick one or the other.

And as for recent events at LeMans....Diesel FTW! Winning race engine had a 5K red-line.

Because of a recent book by that title, that's a problem with the search engine, not Japanese inventors.

Yeah im not sure about the shinning part also. While they do do wellish per say It would take a miracle for them to be that good. As much as I hate to say it BAR and Super Aguri have nothing on Ferrari or Mercedes/Mcclaren. Simply put, they have somewhat comperable engieniering and car building but do not have the drivers. IF they have someone like Alonso or Schumacher the end results for the seasons would be very different. But thats just my .02 cents

Hells yea Audi R10!!! I wanted to see that beast run this year but didnt get to catch it. BUt as mentioned both F1/Le mans is a really expensive playground to play in. I want to see honda in it again honestly. THe last time I have seen them was in the NSX's. I think thye have been focusing more on the F1/Moto GP teams and such. Acura is gonna join the ALMS which I call a honda cuz basically the same shit. But it would be great to see Honda win at Le Mans without having to run into technical difficulty.
