lmao... I've kick started the neon fad again

lol I think I kick started it again around here as 3 months later after having neons installed on my fiance's car and living here for the same amount of time I've seen the number increase. Thing thats kinda lame is most of these people are breaking the law with their kits and are gonna ruin it for me. So I'm expecting soon a huge crackdown around here on underbody neons, atleast my shits legal. On the same note, pickups that aren't low riders look horrible with neons.

what are the laws in your area? in SC the car has to be in park, or on private property to have neons on. and even then blue/red/amber are illegal.

In OK they are legal as long as they aren't blue or red, and the sources aren't visable.

I see lots of blue and red around and lots of visable sources. I already had to deal with a Barny Fife on this, and the thing is even the OHP (Highway Patrol) says they are legal.


We go by the National Transport laws on lighting here except on the emergecy colors, and flashing lights.

I run normal neons, they aren't too diff on size. But atleast my color of neons aren't common, how many peeps run around with hot pink lol

u could run tubes along the front and rear, just not the sides.

you don't have to I'm running stock sideskirts and they aren't noticable where I placed them.

I'll be getting my cam back this week and I'm planning to do a DIY, with multiple suggestions.

Shippo - ive seen -1- car, driven by a chick, with pink neon. Its a black eclipse with a nice lil pink stripe down the side...she was kinda cute too

Mike, Im not rocking skirts and mine are tucked just fine. The only "damage" i had to do was i cut a lenght out of the underside of the rear bumper so the light would shine throgh. It sounds worse than it looks. Overall, i think i did a pretty good job placing and wiring. I love driving at night and seeing my reflection in glass window store-fronts...

Yep, had to do that to my rear bumper as well.

Its why when I post a DIY thread I plan to have it open for other people's ideas cause like Mike had a good idea of using a peice of metal to keep the neons safe from crushing.
