could my work get in trouble?

ok ok, well i work at a food stand on the weekends and we sell Fried Oreo Cookies(they taste horrible to me but its a big craze)
But here's the deal, on the sign where we have our prices, it says Oreo cookies and has the copy right symbol next to Oreo so it looks like we use the real deal.
But we don't, we use the cheapest crappyest generic ones possible, they taste like crap and nothing like a real oreo, i don't know how people dont complain or can't tell.
But my question is, isn't that false advertising?
Worst part is, the stupid owner(whose a real dick) keeps a box of real oreo's on the floor(guess in case someone important wants one?)

Well im just curious, cause if i get fired by him, cause he hates me, i wouldn't mind gettin them in trouble lol, any idea? Just curious

Call Oreo! I'm sure they will shut his ass down in a week.

Actually how much is the stand bringing in a month? If they start makeing loads of money thats when he will get in trouble.

If it's just some little shit place thats never going anywhere than I'm sure it will never even matter.

copyright symbol, or registered trademark symbol? there is a difference.

oreo is a brand of sandwich cookies. if the ones you sell are actually titled/marketed as "friend oreo cookies" and the sign says oreo cookies and not oreo brand sandwich cookies, there's a gray area. (sort of analgous to a store saying they sell kleenex, when kleenex is a brand of facial tissue).

unless you mistyped and meant FRIED oreo cookies, and use a generic brand of sandwich cookie... in any event, at best, there would just be a cease and desist order from nabisco (parent company of oreo), which hopefully your boss would follow. if not, then the lawsuit would/could come.

interesting since it's a registered trademark (if i remember correctly; i don't have a box of oreo's laying around, lol)... well, if you don't like him and you get fired, you could report it. he's at least trying to pass off his product as that of oreo.

i agree with 5spdintegra, with a food stand selling fried oreos, i doubt theyre pulling in the big bux, but who knows. nabisco has quite a market share so i doubt they give a rat's ass about a little corner stand selling fake oreo's, but if they heard about it, they would still probly shut it down so there would be no further problems. do u know how much money u guys bring in?
