I'll have to give my $0.02. I've only been here a while, and haven't even had the chance to drive my Accord since I drove it home... but the responses here are great. Everyone is polite and helpful, and yes the site is well organized.

Thanks to all who are in charge here and thanks to all the members who've helped me.

I plan to keep this Accord indefinitely so I'll be on here as much as I can in the future.

since i'm the only one who knows just about anything about cars in my group of friends, they always ask me if they have a problem with their car, or if they want to do something cool to it.

i always search for some forums for like a 95 civic, but i can never find a forum that comes ANYWHERE near this one.

cb7tuner.com>all other car forums. end of story.

I'm pretty much the biggest gearhead in my circle of friends as well. I've done a bunch of work for my buddies too

I was the least car-oriented of most of my friends for quite a while... then I got to know my car, alienated most of them, and made new friends. Now I'm STILL one of the least knowledgable, because all my friends are car guys now!

CB7tuner is one of those odd forums that caters to a VERY narrow audience. Luckily, CB7s are very reliable, and very common. Kids can afford them, especially since they're less in demand than Civics, and they get the "I have a Honda, I have to modify it" bug. I think it's a nice surprise to come here and find that these cars actually DO have potential!

I think our cars really say a lot for the types of people we are. We're not overly judgemental, because we drive a very underestimated car. We're not combative, because the limited aftermarket and tuning knowledge availible makes it much more useful to work together. Also, I think we have a very cool oldschool base to go on. The guys that have been into their CB7s since the 90s (and there are quite a few) are still around and more than happy to help... I've been on other forums where the oldschool guys look down their noses at the kids who are just getting into it. We don't have that "I learned it the hard way, you should too!" mentality here. Even the "jerks" (like fizzbob7 or DoctorCipher) will go out of their way to help you... so what if they rub your nose in it a bit... It's not my way, but the amount of help they give far outweighs the harm they do!

There is a large amount of respect in this community that is lacking elsewhere. I've only been on a few other forums that have anywhere near our level of respect (www.hyundaiperformance.com and www.tdiclub.com are very much like us... oddly, their cars also fit many of the same categories as ours do in terms of being underestimated in the scene). Even the people I don't really get along with on here I have a respect for. Those that can't comprehend the meaning of respect get pushed out of here rather quickly!
