UPdate your codecs? Did you set media player as your default?

already do, but i only use that to play mov, mpeg4 and 3gp files.

im talking about playing mpeg1 and mpeg2 files(vcd & svcd).

if qt does work with all those files, thats good too, but i would like to know what the problem is, its never happened before.

my media players dont work right either. if I minamize a window the songs/movies will skip. I just learned to deal with it.

go bsplayer pro, best media player ever. shhh dont tell anyone but apparently there is "free" copies somewhere... It plays everything, so you dont need vlc for subtitles or divx or quicktime, pretty much everything you can also get that defiler codec pack. One media player to play them, one media player to rule them all.

You can play VCDs with Windows Media Player, insert the VCD in your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM and browse to the MPEGAV folder and double click on the .dat file and associate it with Media Player and open them with that.
To play a VCD with menus and still pictures use WinDVD or PowerDVD, insert the VCD and just hit Play.
Use a low resolution, like 640x480, on the monitor when watching a VCD to get best quality.

If you have problem playing VCD on your computer try different video player software, in Windows try WinDVD or PowerDVD(software DVD Players but supports VCD). If that does not help extract the video to your HD with Isobuster

I just get the k-lite codec pack, takes care of pretty much all video formats.

You can get it here, as well as others...

where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

Been using KLite for quite some time, and prefer it over any other codec pack.
