    bought a cb7 w/ a blown H23A! who wants to help build!?

whats up guys i just purchased this pos accord from this guy i spent way to much money on it becuase i had to go to shae stadium to get it fixed then i got robbed so i ended up spending 640 on a blue 92 lx its got some issues like knocking rods lol but the dude was tryin to sell it because he wanted money to get a motor for his prelude so i bought it with an h23a!

anyways im planning on dumping alot of money in this car because im seelling my mustang which is broke down in south jersey (aamco fucked up rebuilding the trans)

so who wants to help be BUILD (not rebuild) this motor.
its auto so im going to either need to build my trans or swap it but im keeping it auto.

but what parts should i get. the head needs to be redone so im thinking im going to either purchase a built h23 or h22 head with forged pistons and rods crankshaft etc.

what do you guys think i should do? or should i boost and if anybody wants to help me build her let me know. (cough cpmike)

ill post pics up soon i dont have a computer as of now.

Weren't you the kid that blew up a H22 and then blew up a F22b like right after that...or maybe my order's backwards.

Maybe you should learn how to treat the car first and then work on it?

Sounds like you first have to commit to one idea, plan how to attack it and commit to it. Then find out how much money you will need to get it done. $2000 is not much money to be honest if you're going to build a monster. That amount of money you can find a swap motor, do a mild NA build or a cheap turbo setup. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that is the reality of it. I'm not BSing you as I have two projects both F22 all-motor builds and I know what I mean when it comes to cost. All I've said is with you paying for parts alone and doing all the work yourself, besides machine work like I'm doing.

I do not want to sit here and diss you. However, there are too many people on this forum and others that are "scatter-brained" and have all these ideas or have one idea one day, then change it the next and keep doing that over and over again. Unless you finalize an idea and fully commit, you will go nowhere and start something, get frustrated and then quit it all, sell your car etc and at most end up buying a car that's already built up or some fairly potent car in stock form. This is becoming so common.

If you do what I mentioned, hit me back and I will be more than happy to help point you in the right direction. Otherwise, you're wasting people's time and effort if you're not truly committed. That's the reality.

yo, im not fuckin around mang. I have an h23 apart in my trunk, i have no reason not to build it. im just getting ideas. itll happen sooner than u think ive already had like he said an h22 and f22b.

what im wondering is the best way to produce NA power. i wnat to make something different not like 2point6's all motor. I found a ported h22 head for 350 and im highly considering buying it.

what i want to know is
should i get forged internals like high compression i know thatll run me at least a g. or should i bore it over or maybe just port the lower and up intake and run a ported head with some cams. im working with an auto tranny now (i got one on purpose) so i know boost isnt exactly the greatest for it. i can boost for cheap but i want to build something out of nothing.

now on the other hand i have a shitbox accord im dealing with fixing and ive just got a flat and im stuck here at college so im trying to figure out what to do. (no spare or jack)

just gathering ideas is all. aiming towards a low 14 second DD here is all.
