I agree with this and what owequitit said. Or you can just rent my CB7 for $100 a month when I get a Fit.

I just realized you sold the CA when someone mentioned it. It's not on your lawn anymore?! What the hell, I consider myself an observant person.

Well, what about a 89 Prelude? Get an S or Si (Or Even one with 4WS)- they are comfortable, agile, honda reliable, quick for their weight..... thats my suggestion.

But I would say go for a 1992-1995 EG CX hatch. With a stock D16Y7 swap and a fuel leak, I used to get 38MPG City easy. That was not driving it easy either. The stock engine got slightly better gas mileage, but it was blown up by a dumbass.

They don't have much power if they are completely stock, but they drive like a go kart, get great gas mileage, run forever, and are actually very roomy for you and your job related stuff. They are a lot more fun to drive than the sedans and coupes.

They weighed less than 2100lbs stock.

Plus, you can probably find one in adequate shape near your budget.

Totally agree with the CX thing.

With the whole cavalier thing. I did NOT like mine, it wasn't that comfortable. Another thing was that before I owned mine my sister had it and lived on a bumpy road.....Struts needed replacing kinda fast, although I'm not sure if those were OEM or OEM replacements. The other problem was the water pump, I kept having problems with it(not just me, there was atleast one other time it needed to be done, either when my mom or my sister had it.)

Yeah, it was gone when we did the control arms the other day! (btw, thanks for putting that back together... I saw the jack on my porch and was confused for a bit! )

Phatty... that's just not fair. I see those awesome looking EFs and now I want one!

I have to remember that this isn't a project though. It's a work car. I can't get it and have any expectations for it other than driving to and from jobs.

If I lower it, I'll go through tires... not to mention the bumpy ride. I'll probably get good shocks for comfort, but that's it. If I paint it and get rims, I'll be paranoid about leaving it parked on the street (I have to go to various properties, some not in the greatest neighborhoods... I'm trying to steer clear of the ghetto, but there are still some not-so-great areas I have to go to!)

It is a stretch, but see if maybe you can find a stock EF Si hatch. The demand will be much lower than a CRX Si, and you will still most likely top 30-35 MPG easily. Plus they are still usable and fun to drive with decent power.

I actually just traded my EG CX for a B18 swapped EF. I just like them better. I always have.

A saturn would be a pretty good car... they take a beating, but after a while get tired quickly. They are about the only cheap DD car from a domestic company that I would think of purchasing.

Crapalier... just dont do it. There are only lots on the road because there were way too many made.

Sounds like your cheapest bet is to trade cars with your wife, for the time you have the job.
