Well I thought having some broke ribs and a ruined set of leathers from a 70mph crash was bad, I guess having a pole up your ass could be considered waaaay worse.

sorry but that picture is fake...that accident was from a sky diving accident when he landed on a tree.

fence posts arent 8 inches in diamter...they are usually skinny or 4x4's

I've been riding for 3 years, put over 15k miles on my bike. I always wear all of my gear, and ALL of us.......ALL of us are taking a risk whether it's in a car or on a motorcycle when we venture out. I love riding, and sure there are always risks, but I could be hit by a car in a crosswalk or while checking my mailbox too. You just never know when it's your time.

You just have to ride like everyone is out to kill you.

                  Riding a Bike...

I've been riding for 4 years now... and I started off with WAAAAAY to much engine. I was crazy at 18 doing stoppies and Wheelies and shit like that.
After laying it down once, I decided I better ride smart... but no matter what happens I dont think I can ever stop... there is nothing in the world as incredible as the joy from riding a motorcycle on a nice day... so we better just ride SAFE
Why? Because... Life Happens @ 4500 RPM

If you love what you're doing you won't let the fear of death or injury stop you. I love to ride too, and I don't ride in fear, although sometimes I keep a suspicious eye out.

                    *Didn't follow the link*

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

Ride to live, live to ride...? Eh, I'm a Harley fan, I'm not into those crazy fast crotch rockets. Either way though I've never ridden but if I did ride it'd be on a cruiser.

Stunts and wheelies are just stupid.

Oh, I love "motorcycles" and my dad owns 2 Harleys......try these figures on:

My bike----> about 400 lbs, 110 hp, dual front discs with 4 piston calipers and stops/goes very fast. Ridden responsibly these bikes are by far the most capable of getting out of bad situations, of course the later is true as well.......they can get you into trouble very quickly! That IMO is the real argument when it comes to bikes that are too fast.

My dad's new HD ultra classic---->over 800 lbs! under 90 hp, single disc setup up front, good luck going/stopping fast. Very, very comfortable bike but WAY too heavy. IMO it's a Caddy on 2 wheels and not a very controlable mass....
