Ok, all the materials and paint for a non-clearcoat paintjob would only cost about $200. So $600 for paint can't be right. I'm going to be changing the color from tan to black but I'm not gonna wory about inside the engine bay. After thinking about it, I don't really see why $200 wouldn't cover paint, at least that's what I'm hoping.

So let's see, I'm gonna put everything back together, add a cf hood, black corner lights, possible a6 intake manifold and/or altezza tail lights. Plus the i/h/e that I already have. I think it'll turn out pretty nice. It just kills me to see my poor cb7 all broken and dented up. Can't wait to get all the parts so I can put everything back together.

You tell me.... I can't stand the sight of my ride all dirty... Call me compulsive, but, I wipe my ride down every day (helps out when I live around salt air 24/7)...

Some advice, my fellow CB7 brother- just do what you can afford to do... Then the rest should fall into place... Mines took 5 years to get it where it's at and it's still not done... Good luck on your restoration....

well let's put it this way, I'm trying to focus on getting the outside looking good because the cb7 is a textbook example of a daily driver as far as interior goes. Everything from fast food wrappers to a friggin baby seat.

I'm doing something that obviously makes sense to a lot of you, taking my time. The way I look at it, the parts I need cost $500. That leaves $200. If I can figure out a way to pay for the paint some other way, most likely just save up for several months. Then I can spend that $200 on tail lights and a new intake manifold. Now that I think about it, I'd almost rather ride around with tail lights and an intake manifold for a few months or however long it takes for me to afford a paintjob. If everything turns out the way I imagine it will, The car is gonna look kick ass. Black corner lights, carbon fiber hood, altezzas, all on a shiny ass black car. I won't be able to afford a set of rims for the forseeable future but that's alright. My goal is for any cb7 fan who sees the car to stop and say "hey, nice job"

Well I've gotten the headlight and corner lights have arrived. The headlight bracket is broke so I gotta wait for the guy to send me a new one. I'd love to be working on the car right now but that hurricane that everyone was talking about off the east coast is causing some helatious weather around here. Anyway, when I looked at the corner lights I realized they didn't have any bulbs and I have no idea what kind of bulb the corner lights use. Is it just a regular 1157 or something? can anybody help me out.
