    September 11th, 2001 - Where were you?

I'm just curious to what everyone's answer is to this question. Some one told me that you will never forget what you were doing and where you were when you heard what had happen. This is so true for me...I don't know about all of you.

I'm not sure what grade I was in, but I was in the counselors office waiting to talk about my future plans....college etc.

    What about every one else?

I was in high school, 2nd period JROTC, we were starting our day in the officers quarters when one of the instructors came in and told the Lt. Col. he should be watching whats gong on. We all went to a room with a TV and I came in just as both buildings were hit, but neither had fallen. I didn't know it was happening before that because it started while I was in 1st period but I guess no one knew yet. Well, after that we weren't allowed to watch the tv because our school district principal censored us, and disallowed us from watching tv at school the rest of that day. I'll never forgive her for that.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

                I was in Study hall...

The reason how I found out was b/c my Study hall teacher's husband worked in NY so she panicked and whipped out her cell phone (To call her husband) and turned on the TV and we were pretty much the first ones in school to see. I was in shock...

The tallest building in NY was nothing...when I saw it on TV, both buildings were still standing, but one had a plane in it.

A bit late posting this. But I was in my English class watching the first tower burn on tv then I saw the second one hit and both collapse...very sad day/pissed off.

I just remember being in school and hearing from a friend that the towers have been hit. I didn't believe it until I came home and saw my family watching it on television.

7th grade Social Studies, when the principal came on the intercom saying something about NY, and wanting a moment of silence.

I knows its a bit late...but I just find it amazing that almost everyone if not every one remembers where they were and what they were doing that day. And its been 5 years since that day.
