so i work at advance auto parts and this mid-40's guy comes in with a snobby look on his face and asks for oil for his bmw 5 series because his "computer" is telling him he's a quart low.

i'm like- "ok, what kind of oil do you normally use?"
him- "i want the best you have"
me- "alright, castrol syntec or mobil1 will probably be your best choices"
him- "i can only use fully synthetic, give me the best"
me- "i know that, what viscosity oil do you normally use?"
him- "i don't know"
me- "go get your owner's manual"

so, after getting him a quart or castrol syntec 5W-30, he proceeds to his car and opens his hood. my boss comes out to me and is like "wtf was his problem?" i was like "bmw owner". my boss just laughed. we watched the guy through the window and guess what he did? he poured the entire quart of oil into the WINDSHIELD WASHER RESERVOIR. we were about to go out and tell him how stupid he was, but he drove off. i'd like to see the look on that dumbass guy's face when he squirts his windshield and the wipers smear that fully synthetic washer fluid on.

No.. it's not that. It's the fact that people stereotype people by their car.

One of my regional managers has a 91 Prelude.. so he must not have money, right? Well he did pull in about 650k after taxes last year.. but he's still white trash since he has a POS car.

if i can recall, i didn't say anything like that. i was saying though that this particular bmw owner that came in the store was a complete pompus and snobby retard. he could have came in with a little more respect, rather then raising his nose up like he was "better" then us.

sidenote: he could have also come in to ask where to put the damn oil if he was unsure.

sidenote 2: i also wouldn't mind having any bmw 3 series or even the M3. it's just the people that think they're the shit because they have one that get to me

your car shouldnt have to tell you you're low on oil or on anything else. you should constantly check your car.
