i know...i did all that, it's not that i couldn't read when he said it the first time, it's just simply that it does not work. it downloads and everything and starts up in winamp but it does not play. it's just too much work to go through to watch a 20 second video that probably isn't even worth watching lol.

Actually that is five minutes. And you probably need a video codecs for that. Try using Media player classic instead of winamp or just install the newest K-lite codec pack. I believe they are free.
