The reason I'm waiting to start training, is because I won't be moving down to springfield until August, and the gym here wont let me train until I get back to the weight I was a year ago. I realize by dropping a bunch of weight I wont be in perfect fighting shape, and I'm okay with that. The gym I will be going to teaches jiu-jitsu, which I don't know that much of, so excersizing and dieting is really all I can do right now. Ghostyman, please don't think that I'm trying to disagree with you, because I'm not. You seem like you have lots of knowledge on mma. Are you involved in the sport?

DISCLAIMER: This sure ain't the healthy way to do it, but it'll drop pounds quick.
- Diet pills work well to keep you from feeling hungry. The types with ephedrine work the best but are hard to find nowadays because a few dumb kids died while taking them. Honestly, get the ephedrine. Otherwise, the Stacker 2 ephedrine-free pill works and can be found very cheaply.
- Drink lots of water. Not because it's healthy but because it has 0 calories and will fill your stomach, making you feel full.
- Only eat twice per day. Eating several small meals and snacks is healthier but you'll lose more weight this way. Don't let either meal be large. Don't eat after 10pm.
- Don't worry at all about what you eat except for how many calories it has. The less calories = better. Don't worry about fat, carbs, protein, just count calories. For a guy you're size, maybe try to take in 1,500 calories a day tops. Completely starving yourself is actually detrimental to weight loss so make sure to get some food.
- Make a chart and record your weight when you wake up in the morning (right after the first piss) and right before you go to bed. Don't weigh yourself at any other time in the day.
- Expect to lose 5-10 pounds quickly and then it will slow down and you might have a few days where you gain some of it back. This is due to water loss and retention.
- After one week, you should start seeing very consistent numbers with a pound drop every few days.
- Have fun at jiu-jitsu and just make sure not to go in with any ego at all.
