    Too Much Air??

A friend of mine drives a '95 civic sedan. Its really S...L...O...W. So we installed a short ram on it and it helped alot. Last week he took it to a mechanic to put in a new distributor. The mechanic then told him that the car is accelerating too slow. He claimed that it is due to the intake putting in too much air. I have never heard of an SRI slowing a car down. Is this caused by the intake sensor or sumthin? Did the intake messed up the compression ratio? To me this just doesnt make any sense. I'd been running an SRI on my CB for a long time and havent encountered anything except better response.

The mechanic is full of crap. As long as all the vacuum lines are hooked up there should be no problem.

I think you're forgetting it's an automatic Civic... You guys should get to work on that problem.

Yeah I'd have to concur. Plus a lot of mechanics are racist against imports....whatever the word for that is. If they see possible hints of rice they will say you should remove it, I've had it happen a bunch of times, like when I couldn't find any shop to lower my car.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

speaking of vaccum tube, does putting those little filters on the top of the engine harm it?
