cheap and easy GPS tracking solution?

i was reading the post below and felt shitty about his car being stolen

so...went searching since the bay area is pretty hawt especially san jose.
cheap and easy, just leave it in your glovebox (or hide it?)...charge every few days via cigarette lighter?

it'll track where the theievs have went via google maps or whatever.

I remember a guy who made something similiar to this, first I'd seen that incorporated google maps for tracking...I'll see if I can find it...

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
