I think non-American brands will gain more popularity for sure once the older generations start to pass on. The younger demographic has not had AS MUCH hatred for anything non-American. Our grandparents hated foreign brands for obvious reasons. Our parents (40ish-60ish) fought against the far East as well, though hatred towards foreign brands was not as bad. Now in a few years in time when our generation makes up the bulk of spending NASCAR will definitely change. We are the first to not go to war with either an East Asian or a European nation. And...what the fuck is up with that car of tomorrow thing???????

The "Car of Tomorrow" is what the cars are going to look like starting in 2008 (and in part of 2007 from what I've read). It put even less emphasis on how the car looks and more on the safety. These guys hit the wall at 200mph (sometimes even do multiple flips) EVERY WEEK and still walk away. Kudos to NASCAR for safety but that "Car of Tomorrow" thing is just out there.

NEWS FLASH TO NASCAR - Aluminum wings aren't cool anymore... they were kind of big in the late 90s and early 2000s but they're dead.
