Just sell it then. It's just a car.. my mom is the one that convinced me to sell mine. When I was driving on the highway from Ohio to Florida right after I had my new front end painted; a truck flung a huge rock up and cracked the hell out of my windshield which pissed me off.

Then a cone fell off a truck and I couldn't move and I hit that chipping my bumper up. After that, I said screw it and moved on.

Exactly...shit some of you guys should be happy, I just bought for sale signs and I'm letting it go as-is for fucking cheap ($1750)...I'm gonna have to commute to my next job and I really don't have the time to deal with all the problems. I have to pay off some tickets and get my inspection done and it's fucking gone...I'll probably fix stuff while I still have it as well; the major things that need to be done are to get a new axle, recharge the A/C and get a grill for the front...

I love the CB, it's a lot of fun, but blah I just can't deal. It runs strong and all that but I don't wanna deal with all the little issues anymore. It's either a 6th gen 4dr or a BB6...

I got the signs ready but I probably won't sell it till July or so when I can fix everything and get some money together.

like the others said bro, you gotta do what you gotta do. no doubt its a good car, sentimental... what ever the case. you just have to come to terms with the problems and cut your losses. enough is enough some times. if the car is doing more harm than good, you gotta do the smary thing man.

i do love your car. it was one of the first i've seen. i loved the drop. but, good luck...

Thanks...and yea...I just wanna bring it as close to 100% as I can and cut my losses. I was in denial for a bit but as usual my parents are right. I'll definitely still be around though.

Yaw, don't give up man! Just suck it up and do it right... refill the mount (make sure your mixture is right) and let it set long enough. Your car is in better shape than most. It's just stupid little FIXABLE things that are frustrating.

Fix your suspension issues, fix that mount, and get Mike to help swap in an H22. Get the car to that level, and I swear you'll be quite happy.

Arghhh it's tough though man...as soon as I think I'm close to fixing everything something else goes wrong. Like yesterday my amp just died. Not a big deal; I'm running my speakers off the HU which is "decent". And I finally cleared that code 41 CEL with a new O2 sensor. But arrrghhhhh I drove into the city yesterday and my car started overheating in traffic!!! It's like it stays 2 steps ahead of me at all times. I can't have peace.

I'd rather let it go and just get a car with less of a chance to mess up. I love the CB... honestly I wish I could buy one with all the mods I want (I shoulda got PRIMO's) but with this new job there won't be room for error, and unfortunately my parents have a say in what I'll get as they're insuring it. I'll basically be "on call" when power goes out or in weather emergencies and I need a reliable whip. My car would be great for someone who's just starting out or is looking for a project car I think.

And the H22 swap in the 6th gen isn't hard...plus with them being OBDII I can get a Type-S motor and use the real Type-S ECU

Thats how it is in life...

This is comming from some one that had two CB's already.
Once you get your other car and it runs perfect like it should, you'll be happy.
And your people will be happy...

You have two options here...
1.Keep dumping money into the CB until everything is fixed and the car is running like you like...
2.Sell the CB, and get something newer, but most specially, something that YOU LIKE!

There you have it, plain and simple.

I would keep dumping money into the cb.I dont think its your motor thats rocking yaw. Its the suspension you have in there thats causing the motor to rock like that. Get a real suspension like my neuspeed sports and you have it too low an dout of balance. I bet if you change that that all that shit will stock and as for your audio system take that shit out and return it back to stock just with some decent speakers that fit and you can put the cover over them nothing too extreme less headaches =less stress.

Once I took all that garbage off my car and did what I did to it was less headaches. You just need a little more cashflow to get rid of those problems. And I guarantee youll love it. Let me know when you have the dough to get your car flowin again and start lookin in your garage for the stock pieces for your car to put back here and there bro.

And you need a swap too I bet if I swapped your car and you did a little suspension and body work to it I bet youll be like nah im never gettin rid of it. Youll probably worship your car and go to the temple of vtec every day you drive.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Mike...but truthfully, I've been getting insurance quotes and stuff and talking with my parents and I think I'm serious about moving on this time. Maybe we'll keep the CB for my brother...but I doubt it. And slowly but surely I'm warming up to the BB6...

I'm just gonna try and fix my front end and recharge the A/C...then the only money I'm putting into this car is maintenance and gas. I was kinda wrong about the stuff that's broken though...the power cable on my amp got disconnected, and I just remembered I couldn't get a bolt on on the radius rod on the left which is where the knocking is coming from. I'm gonna see if that's where my problem is. But yea...I think it's time. When I have the $$$ the f/s signs are going up.

*UPDATE*

Well...after getting a real suspension and doing the H23 plenum I'm still not happy with the car...Maximas are getting dirt cheap and looking good, I think this might be it for real for real for real. Plus now since I'm paying my insurance my parents can't say anything about the car I get, although insurance will be a pain on the wollit. SERIOUSLY, once I fix this knocking in the suspension there might be a F/S thread up. All I have to do is fix my front LBJs, change the oil pan, and fix the vacuum leak in my IM...and it's good to go, $2000 and it walks...

Ask RockinRicer or uslspct...or even h22sparkle...my car up jumps the boogie. Matter fact, I'm gonna make a feeler thread for this because I'm really looking to do this now.
