how to convert SVGA to SVIDEO??

Okay, my laptop does not have SVIDEO. IT has this serial thing, which is either a VGA or SVGA (im not sure lol) It's a laptop with centrino.

Anyhow I want to display SOUND and VISUAL on my tv. My tv has the typical red/white/yellow as well as an s-video outlet.

I'm wondering what I need to buy. Basically I'm missing an adapter to conver my SERIAL PORT (VGA?) into a SVIDEO.

I went to COMPUSA and they wanted to sell me that MULTI USAGE swap thing which was $90 or so. BS ! I just need a simple adapter but they didn't have.

Is there such thing? Or do I have to end up buying that bulk thing.

Well you'll need to find a simple 15-pin VGA to S-Video adapter and then a 3.2 to RCA adapter..

Shouldn't be too costly, but you might have trouble on the vga to s-video adapter as the res will be odd on tv's

Sorry and excuse my ignorance. What's the 3.2 to RCA adapter?

I've got the sound part covered. Just need the VISUAL. My laptop has a max res of 1024 x 768

All tha stuff I could find for that purpose is $100+

The signal probably has to be modulated or some shit so its prob not as simple as just having a cable with vga on one end and s-video on the other.
