Price my Civic... be honest, I'm serious...

Hate it or love it, its for sale...

Books at $4200 w/o any mods...

    Is $5500 too high?

You've seen the mod list in the other disaster of a thread...

mods dont add anything to the re-sell value of a car. so i would say it is a little high

I know of Integra GSR's for sale at 5500.

I'd say 4200 is reasonable given the mods. You'd have to appeal to the right buyer though.

            How many miles?

But you have to look at it like this.
Its a 95 Civic DX model.
            No power anything.
If you are trying to sell it in the streets they are not going to give you 5k+ for that.
Honestly that car is worth around $2800, maybe $3200 at the most.

And like somebody else said, aftermarket mods dont add anything to the value.
Maybe something outrageous like a Turbo or something.

But seeing as you only got strut bars, I/H/E, it really doesnt add much to the value.

Depending on the milage, I'd say anywhere from $3k-$3.5k

This is why I am never really planning on selling my car, it it just not worth it. By the time I can afford to buy a newer better car the 2 grand or so for my car wont be worth it to me. Especially because by that time I plan on having way more than 2 grand invested into this car so it would be a huge loss.

Your best bet if you want to get the money back that you put into it would be to part it out then sell it stock.

I think it would be difficult to get more than $3500 for it.

I have slowly been loosing faith in Blue Book values. Some of things I think about are weather or not they are just out there to be economy boosters, or do they not even know what they are talking about? Anyone ever look up the used price for a 96 Accord with 160,000 it's WAY higher than ANYONE would ever pay. It's very difficult to represent what they are trying to do.

3500 is pretty generous and I would never personally pay 2000 for a civic...but since your's is in nice condition, 2500 tops.
