Computer people: HELP

I know this is vague as shit, but my computer is messed up...it won't work outside of safe mode. Wednesday night I came home from class, moved my mouse and it froze, and it hasn't worked out of safe mode since. I've been looking over my files and nothing's out of the ordinary...I haven't installed anything new as far as programs or anything. It literally just spazzed out and froze out of nowhere. WTF???? Microsoft FTL You guys don't know how lame everything looks in 8 bit, what a waste

Run spyware and anti-virus checks.

boot to safe mode
go to run> type "msconfig"
then go to the startup tab
look for things you dont recognize/things with random letters (tend to be virii)
uncheck them
reboot normal

Just delete everything and make it like new again. Works wonders

Or if you have the original disk, just reinstall right ontop of everything, plus you wont loose anything.

AHHHH I don't wanna flippin reformat, even though I do have all my stuff backed up; that's too easy...and I don't wanna pay the computer guy, I can do this shit myself...FUCK.

I'm gonna try that msconfig thing and REGEDIT...

And dont get microsoft updates after you reformat.

I havent downloaded a Microsoft update in a year or two, and havent had to reformat the computer (did have to every 4-5 months.).

If you use internet explorer, upgrade that to firefox aswell, since that'll keep a bunch of crap out.

Don't mess with regedit if you don't know what you're doing.

In safe mode it loads only the minimal of drivers. Often it is a bad driver or bad hardware that causes problems like you have.

While in safe mode, try doing system restore. Or if you want to try to do this the hard way, give me the info from the system/error logs. From there we can likely find out what erred.
