Its weird cuz same thing almost happened to me yesterday as well...I was coming around a corner and this guy in an old 80 something chevy blazer was halfway in my lane and he just barely swerved before taken me out head on....I mean it was hella close that I thought even after he corrected my quarter panel would be at least hit....all because he was reaching down for something....I posted on another forum after it happened cuz this forum was down.

when anything goes wrong with your car it plain sucks. but when it could've been avoided altogether it's that much worse. now that's money that has to come out of your paycheck

my old LX got totalled last week and it hurt to see it dude. i can only imagine how it would feel for something like this to happen to my CB. just think positive man!

If I got hit and my car was still drivable, I'd probably go to jail. I'd chase the guy down, run him off the road, and the cops would have to pull me off of him. That's an attack on two things I love dearly... my car, and my life. Sadly, by chasing him down, I'm risking the lives of everyone I speed by. You definitely did the right thing... It's a shame he got away, but the damage is minimal. Be thankful for that!

Hey guys, thanx for the responses...you guys are like a family,lol.

Well, i just got back from the junkyard with Derek (projectcb7), and i managed to get a fender Its black, but thats ok.They only had 4 door cb's there so no door for me thats ok cause my dad knows another junkyard around here so we are gonna hit that up this sunday.Like i said i'm seriously thinking of doing some bodywork but i wanna do it right so its gonna take some time.I also got to new front tires (falkens) cause like i said the tire bubbled when he hit me.



O, and Derek, i was really not trying to catch up to you.I was pressing 1/4 of the gas pedal, plus my muffler bearings are going out so i wasnt trying to hard you know

P.S.-to whoever asked how did i know the dude was drunk, he had to.He was swirving all over the road.Either that or he was trippin on soem LSD.

I've been in that situation. I got rear ended by a drunk driver in a durango and he he took off. Well I already had my car in first (my foot was off the brake and I had the clutch in) (I saw it coming the whole time) and after he hit me and started to take off, I just popped the clutch and went after the bastard. I chased him for 15-20mins and then finally the cops came.
My best friend was in the car and he said he's never seen me that pissed off.
The whole time chasing him, I was expecting my car to fall apart. He hit me going about 30mph.

reiterating what TypeG said, how do you know he was drunk? either way it sucks, but i mean sober people swerve off the road all the time. and if he only hit the side of your car, and not head on (thank god), it may have just been someone who was not paying full attention.

all that said, the fact that he didnt stop does suggest there was something more to it..

Well, the fucker didnt stop, so drunk or not, he's an incosiderate asshole, and I truly believe he deserves lung cancer.
