I washed dishes at a local restraunt...so? By opposing this bill, should we allow murderers loose even though they broke the law?

Isn't this the same right party that wanted to pass the law that allowed illegal immigrants to legally get drivers licenses so they could illegally legally drive in this country? Yea that still doesn't make sense to me. But I think that this bill, which I know absolutely none of the details about, is messed up and spells trouble. And the point about how everyone who aids them in anyway would be a criminal as well, that's not good for about everyone.

well, if the US made it easier, im sure ALL of them would be legal. every illegal immigrant that i know wants to be legal, but it's so hard nowadays, they wont do it. it takes about 5 years to even be able to apply, then u gota go to classes, and that takes a while. thing is they dont have time for that. they work 7/7 days, over 8 hours a day too.

I'm sure ALOT of americans would complain if there wasnt any immigrants. This country relies on immigrants to keep it running. who is gona pick/plant fruit. im sure americans wont. would u caleb? I mean shit, you dont even have a job.

I dont mean to low blow, but I get defensive about this shit. americans have no clue how it is to be an immigrant. they think its easy to become legal.

yea, I also know that there are those fuckers that come here to sell drugs. those, I do not speak for because they are low life's and give immigrants/latino's a bad name.

but, im done with this thread. I dont wana get heated up over the internet. I dont wana say anymore, and its not worth my time.

I have to go read up on tuning anyways.

Aye. Yes thank you for correcting me. It was just a california thing originally and is one of the reasons davis got recalled, because the cali people hated it and Schwarzenegger opposed it.

like i said, i didn't grow up with anyone that wanted or was willing to wash dishes at a local restaraunt. since i didn't grow up with you, my statement sitll stands. my grandmother used to wash clothes for people who only let her in through the back door... but that's another subject for another time.

i don't think one would compare murder to illegal immigration. after all, one is a felony (murder), while the other is not. if one were to compare all crimes and lump them together, than one would say that driving above the posted speed limit is akin to rape is akin to murder is akin to stealing a loaf of bread.

but since it seems quite ridiculous to make these comparisons, i will state that no, by opposing this bill, we should not allow murders loose even though they broke the law.

as is stands, illegal immigration is just that, illegal. there's no need to make it a felony. this is, of course, the beauty of what the powers that be/republican party is doing... it's already illegal, it's a crime that's already on the books. making it a felony doesn't make it anymore illegal. making it a felony is wholly unnecessary.

now, if they were talking about enforcement, that'd be an entirely different issue (though it would truthfully be interesting to see which lawmakers in washington d.c., and even in our state legislatures wouldn't be guilty of hiring/employing illegal immigrants). however, lawmakers aren't talking about enforcing laws that are already there because they know that it's laughable. it's understood that illegal immigrants, no matter how "illegal", are overwhelmingly doing jobs that we "legal" americans (a funny term, as the founding fathers of this country were illegal immigrants, but i idigress...) aren't willing to do in huge numbers.

actually, it was proposed by vicente fox, president of mexico, and backed by president bush first...

Dude you live in Phoenix, imagine living in Tucson. Illegals cannot drive worth a shit, not to mention they don't have any respect for anybody (potentially why Tucson has one of the highest car theft rates in the country). Hit and run accidents occur all the time here, because the dude doesn't want to get deported so he just drives off. Then if you only have liability insurance, you're fucked... I work at an Autozone 50 miles north of Mexico and 75% of the people that go in are mexican. They expect you to speak spanish, and if you tell them you don't (just cause I don't feel like it, cause I really know some spanish), they'll start cussing at you in spanish and shit. I'm not saying that mexican people are bad or anything, but I just think there should be standards for migrating to the US, not only from mexico, but from other countries too.
