Eh... Wassup to my bruddah and my sistah, Pakaz and Mystic.. I'm cracking up at the thought that most of the peeps on this board don't understand the Hawaiian language. They're prolly thinking "WTF"? No worries- I also mistakenly thought that Mysticblue was a guy at first...
Tomi- I got an offer to work in Vegas because the hotel corporation I work for is opening one on the strip very soon. I'm considering purchasing property there, too... I'm gonna keep my two properties here on Maui and rent it out, if I ever do the move to Vegas... Like what Mystic said, alot of "transplanted" locals live there...

Howzit Jay .. yeah .. kina the same thing for me .. but the folks here in Florida,
dont wanna let me go ..
They say I'm *too valuable to them" .. ok den .. wheres da kala ? lol ..

But in all honesty, I'm sooo sick and beat tired of these fawkin hurricanes .. even if one
doesnt directly hit .. still .. just the *mental* part, is so frustrating .. really emotional ..
Hours are spent cleaning up .. electricity is down for weeks at times .. schools, work,
and business's are shut down .. hell .. my neigbors .. (the other condo complex across me)
STLL has blue tarps on their roofs .. about 15-20 of them .. not acceptable, by my standards.

While others with 2 million $$$ homes and up, not only repair what was damaged,
they *add on* and spend like crazy to expand their homes, so their worth more..
while others with less .. suffer and wait .. just not acceptable once again ..
And I've been quite fortunate thus far .. my condo is much newer then those across the street.
However .. lol .. I feel its just a matter of time ..

Its like the folks out on the North Shore of Oahu .. from Haleiwa, to just about Heeia,
they get nuked every year .. some manage to escape with no damage, some
get blasted outta their place by 20-30 foot surf .. and rebuid .. wow .. unreal!

All the meanwhile .. beaches erode, and eat away at the property, if not the home itself ..
So .. in the long run .. they end up with less and less real estate .. lol ..

Good you got your property in Maui .. never sell those places .. pass it on down
to the Ohana .. that, IMHO ... is the way to go .. and Vegas itself is ripping it up
in terms of what real estate is gonna be like there, in the next 5-10 years ..

Actually wish I'da thought about this, when I moved to Florida almost 10 years ago .. lol.

I live in Vegas....moved here from Phoenix when I was 5....can't really call anywhere else home, and if I ever leave, I know I'll come back...it's the only place I know of where you can live any lifestyle you want 24/7....as for crime, it's not that bad if you keep your shit locked and alarmed, but anywhere is like that, LA has more theft that we do...no one steals Accords, they all want the hatches and teggys...

As for mechanics....I know of me and only a few other people I would trust to work on anything...plus I've got the hookup on parts and labor, I work at CNC Motorsports, we're getting ready to close this shop and open a full race shop with full fabrication and a dyno-tuning.

I dunno, you either love Vegas or you loath it. Give it a shot, I need some CB7 tuners to hang out with...plus, for $10 you can go to "The Strip" at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and run your car all night long with all the other guys, the import scene is getting a bit bigger here, but the hardcore street racer bitches are ruining it for most of us. Still not as strict as Cali.

Food is great, people are ok, but the good ones are awesome. There's a lot of opportunities to meet some big people and make some big money. Most locals never go to the strip because we all loath the tourists that make our city what it is...it's fun to f*ck with tourists.

I say come to Vegas, it's a cool place to live. I like being able to go wherever I want at any time of the day or night knowing that it's normal....Like grocery shopping at 3am... ^_^ Peace. PM me if you wanna talk.

i always wondered what vegas was like to live in. all i know about it is the strip. its hard to believe that theres an actual city there! nobody ever seems to care about anything but the flashy part of the city.

F*ck the strip, the best part of Vegas is being a local and having a good time, it's a nice city to live in, but it is easy to get too crazy with the partying.
