If you could give advice for new tuners....

For all those veteran mechanics/weekend tinkerers and the sort, through your time with cars, if you could give advice to those just entering the car scene, what would you say?

My advice would be to explore all the options for your car, whether all the motors available, turbo setups, and then think what you'll want later down in the road. Followed up by h22sparkle's famous line "do it right the first time".

      My advice:
1: Invest in a vehicle maintenance manual, and a good tool set, they are both good investments.
2: Don't be afraid to DIY.
3: Do what you want, not what everyone else wants.
4: If all else fails ask F22-Guru the man is a genius.

        Research.
        Do maintenance FIRST.
        DIY.
Don't go half-ass on your suspension...do it right the first time.

              maintenance, maintenance, and more maintenance.

do it right the first time.

if you don't have the time or patience, pay someone who does.

LOL! I did that and ended up giving them all away after I sold my car. I've still got an F22 and trans sitting in the yard that I can't GIVE away.

If you deliver it to me you sure can give it away!

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

before buying something, make sure you really want it first. (esp. wheels)

if you're selling or buying used, make sure that you know the value before you agree to the offer put on the table.

avoid using credit cards to buy car parts that you don't need asap.
