JDM is getting out of control

As the title says. Anyways i was getting trying to get a sponsership from IMPACT PARTS and they said that they cant do it. Reason being cuz the market has really slowed done lately.So I was thinking to myself it has to be cuz of JDM. There sales are low so they could sponser a vendor for a car show that we (car club) are throwing.http://www.realisticdreamz.net/main.htm I think its more cuz of this JDM carze lately. JDM is getting out of control, every mother in the world is trying to get these awesome rare parts for there whips and notbody is going towards the kitted scene anymore. Tell me what u guys think of this.

there has been a JDM class in the past shows i've been to. there are many tastefully kitted cars that have won outside of the JDM class. it really comes down to the growth and change of this industry and hobby as a whole. things change, interests change, and the world has to keep up.

to me JDM = clean and tasteful. kits can be JDM too!

JDM parts are very clean looking to me, and i like the overall flow they give to the car...however, i dont think EVERYTHING needs to be JDM on a car.

i lived in japan and okinawa from 1973 til 2004...never saw anyone going crazy for usdm car shit...unless it was on a usdm imported musclecar.

i guess it's wat people like.
for example my friend had a b16 banana yellow crx like 4 years ago...it was kitted and had 17" rims and all that glowing/lighting stuff....AND IT HAD A BODY GRAPHIC GOING ACROSS THE SIDE!!.
well one day we drove by a red crx si, with a jdm front bumper, on 15" black rims... i remember that thing was sooo clean! it was truly beautiful...welll to end my story, my boy talked to the guy for a little bit... buddy was a little japanese guy... and with-in the month my boy stripped his crx of the kit and graphics and traded the 17" rims for si rims.

now he has ones of the nicest ek hatches i've seen around. planning on a k20 swap soon... he never looked back at a kitted car AGAIN!
